Traveling the World from Home
While many programs have been created due to the challenges of the current environment, MSC L.T. Jordan began a podcast they hope will continue.
The podcast Many Aggies, One World focuses on Aggie students, faculty, and alumni as they reflect on their international experiences and lives abroad. The first episode featured engineering professor and television comedian, Shayla Rivera, as she talked about her transition from life as a child in Puerto Rico, to a Latinx woman working in NASA, to a comedian on the show Roseanne. In the second episode, students spoke with Faris Zaibaq, a University scholars student about how his experiences at Texas A&M have widened his horizons. The third episode featured Dakota Plesa, a recent graduate from Texas A&M, and his journeys across the world to 40 separate countries. In the most recent episode, students interviewed Dr. Gary Wingenbach about his life in the Peace Corps.
In each 45-minute episode, listeners can learn more about the benefits of international travel and the way it can change lives. This podcast can be found on Spotify and Listennotes by searching for Many Aggies, One World.
